Yulan Hall of the Summer Palace
Founded in the fifteenth year of Qianlong (1750), it was originally a group of halls that were connected in all directions. It was burned down by the British and French forces in the tenth year of Xianfeng (1860), and rebuilt in the twelfth year of Guangxu (1886), which was the sleeping palace of Emperor Guangxu in the garden. After the failure of the Wuxu Reform in the twenty-fourth year of Guangxu (1898), Cixi ordered people to close the courtyard, which became the place where Emperor Guangxu was imprisoned in the garden.
