Paiyun Hall of the Summer Palace

Originally the Daxiong Treasure Hall of Qingyi Garden Dabaoen Yanshou Temple, it was burned down by the British and French forces in the tenth year of Xianfeng (1860), and the Paiyun Hall was built on its ruins in the twelfth year of Guangxu (1886), which was a place to celebrate Cixi's birthday. The exhibits displayed in the hall are the birthday gifts presented by the princes and ministers of that year.
