Commonly known as the Dragon King Temple, it was originally a dragon shrine on the long embankment on the eastern boundary of West Lake, and during the Qianlong period, when the embankment was dug and the lake was expanded, the surrounding land was left to form Nanhu Island, and the Dragon God Temple was rebuilt, renamed "Guangrun Temple", as a place to pray for rain in the garden. Later, because of the "miraculous effect" of praying for rain here, the Dragon King Temple was added to the "Guangrun Lingyu" Shrine. During the Guangxu period, Cixi entered the park by water, disembarked at the wharf in front of the ancestral hall, entered the ancestral hall to burn incense, and then boarded the boat to the Leshou Hall Palace.
